Pattern

Wreath Cover
Start with black

Round 1: Ch. 21. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 19 ch. Ch. 1, turn. (20 sc) Make your foundation chain long enough to wrap around your wreath. See example. Use your foundation chain number in the remaining rounds. Example, if your foundation chain is 27 stitches, sc in 2nd ch from hook and ea remaining ch. You will have 26 stitches. So your stitch count for rounds 2-finishing round will be 26 sc instead of 20.
Round 2: Sc in ea st across. Ch. 1, turn. (20 sc)
Round 3-End: Sc in ea st across. Changing colors as desired. I changed colors after approximately every 5 inches. My color changes went- Black-White-Black-White-Zebra-Black-White-Black-White. My finished wreath cover was approximately 45 inches long. Leave a long tail for sewing short ends together (see next step).

Continue here after you've made your wreath cover long enough to fit around your wreath.

Cut a length of yarn approximately 9 feet long (I know this sounds excessive but this was just the right amount for me). Wrap your wreath cover around your wreath, lining up short ends. See picture. Using yarn tail, sew short ends together using sewing method of your choice. FO. Weave in all your ends before continuing.

To finish sew cover to your wreath, line up sides of your cover (see picture). You can use clips if desired, to hold your cover together while sewing. Using your preferred method of sewing, sew sides together. Remember to line up the colors.

FO, leaving a tail long enough to close up opening.

Finishing.

Using black felt, cut eyes. I made a template with a piece of paper and cut my felt using that. Using a piece of yarn approximately 24 inches, embroider a mouth and nose. Use picture for a reference if desired.
