Happy #freebiefriday friends! Now that Halloween is past us, I've started thinking ahead to Thanksgiving! The first thing that came to mind was pumpkin pie! And what goes with pumpkin pie? Whipped cream of course! There was no way I could of left the whipped cream off! Ha ha! This pumpkin pie pattern starts in the middle, with the whipped cream and works outward, ending with the crust. I consider this a beginner friendly pattern because it consists of single, half double and double crochets. It uses shell stitches but they are made up of half double crochets and double crochets. If you're looking for more fall inspired patterns, be sure to check out my Falling Leaves Dish Cloth and my crochet pumpkins. I hope you enjoy this pattern! Happy #freebiefriday friends! This crisp weather has me feeling Fall-y! How about you? I made a bun hat a couple years ago that had the Extreme Drop Stitch in it and I just realized that this stitch also looks like falling leaves! I didn't want to make a beanie this time tho, I wanted to make a dish cloth! As much as I don't want to admit it, this dish cloth pattern took me 2 weekends (only 4 days, lol!) to figure out. I finally got it the way I like it and am ready to share with you all! I hope you all like this pattern and the finished product as much as I do! If you make this dish cloth, please feel free to share your pictures of your finished projects in my Facebook group and/or my Facebook page (Both are linked at the end of this post)! Happy #freebiefriday again friends! I hope your week was well! I'm still in Halloween mode! Ha ha! This weeks free crochet pattern is for the Ragdoll Beanie. This pattern is for a childs size beanie. Her hair is approximately 36 inches long. She is complete with "stitches" and eyelashes. I consider this pattern more of an intermediate pattern b/c it requires the triple crochet and triple crochet increase stitches. But other then those stitches, it's pretty basic. If you like this pattern, you should definitely check out my skeleton wreath pattern! I hope you enjoy this weeks pattern and if you do, remember to share this post with your crochet friends! Today, I have for you, a crochet pumpkin pattern! You can make these pumpkins bigger or smaller depending on the yarn and hook size you use. For a bigger pumpkin you would use a bigger hook and larger yarn and for a smaller pumpkin you would use a smaller hook and thinner yarn. Also be sure to check out my Mini Witch Hat pattern! Happy #freebiefriday friends! This weeks free crochet pattern is the Alpine Ridge Dishcloth! This pattern uses the Alpine crochet stitch (pretty much Front Post Double Crochet). If you've never made this stitch before, don't worry. It's actually a very simple stitch. I explain how to do it in the Special Stitches notes below. The Alpine Ridge Dishcloth is made entirely of single crochet's, double crochets and front post double crochets. That's it! Easy right?! There's even a corresponding video tutorial to go with pattern, it will be at the end of this post. I hope you all enjoy your Alpine Ridge Dishcloths as much as I do mine! Now, without further ado...the pattern!

Hello again friends! I know, I know, it's Saturday! What happened to #freebiefriday?! My Friday was crazy! Anywho, here's this weeks free crochet pattern! It's the Apple Coaster crochet pattern! It's the 3rd installment of the Back To School Series. It can be made using only scraps. I hope you love this pattern! If you do please consider sharing this post with your crocheting friends!

Happy Friday friends! I hope your week was great! I'm not sure if I mentioned it last week but...every Friday for the entire month of August I will be sharing a new, free, back to school theme crochet pattern. Last weeks pattern was the Crayon Cuddler crochet pattern. Great to use as a pillow, toy or even classroom decor. This weeks back to school theme pattern is the Crayon Jar Cozy pattern! You could whip up a couple of these and give them to your kiddos teachers as back to school gifts! All you have to do is fill the jar with pens, pencils or colored pencils! I'm sure any teacher would love to receive one! Now onto the pattern!

Hello again friends! I hope you all have had a wonderful week! I've been busy making Crayon Cuddlers! My kiddos fell in love with them as soon as they saw them! 😍 These Crayon Cuddlers could be given as a gift to a child (my kiddos pretended they were coloring with them), they could be given to your childs teacher as a teachers gift or end of/beginning of school gift. They would be adorable in any teacher or school staffs classroom. These Crayon Cuddlers are approximately 12 by 5 inches. They take about a day to make and are pretty easy to crochet. The only stitches used are single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and slip stitch! I would consider this a beginner friendly pattern. I hope you enjoy making your Crayon cuddlers! P.S. this pattern also comes with a video tutorial, it can be found at the end of this post. 😉 Now onto the pattern!

Happy Freebie Friday again fellow crochet friends! I hope you all had a great week! In this weeks installment of Freebie Friday is the free Criss Cross Dishcloth pattern. This dishcloth features the Criss Cross Crochet Stitch (CC for short). It's fairly simple to do, as I explain below in the pattern notes. If you haven't noticed yet, I love working with new crochet stitches! The Criss Cross stitch isn't new to me but I've only used it in one or two other patterns. But I love the look and texture of it! Once again, I am using Peaches and Cream yarn. It's a #4, Worsted Weight cotton yarn. I highly recommend using a cotton yarn for dishcloths because it tends to hold up to the wear and tear better then synthetic or other yarns do. Are you ready for this pattern? Let's get into it then!

Hello again friends! This weeks Freebie Friday pattern is for my Waffle Stitch Dishcloth! This one may be a little oversized (9X9 inches) but that's better then being under sized right? 😉 These crochet dishcloths can be whipped up in an afternoon! They would be great as a housewarming gift or a wedding gift! You could also crochet a few for yourself. Theres no such thing as too many dishcloths! Am I right? 😊
The only stitches used in this pattern are Single Crochets, Double Crochets and Front Post Double Crochets. The front post double crochets aren't as hard as they may sound. Instead of working in the top of the previous rounds stitches, you'll be working around the stitch. There is a Youtube tutorial at the end of this post for this pattern that may help. I hope you like this pattern! Happy #freebiefriday again friends! I hope you've all had a great week! This weeks pattern is a free crochet bear pattern! It's Chubby Bear! He's Cuddle Bear's companion. If you haven't seen last weeks free crochet pattern, Cuddle Bear, you can find it here--> Cuddle Bear crochet pattern. As I explained in last weeks post, amigurumi (crochet stuffies) used to intimidate me. That is, until I realized that not all ami's are created equal. Some are made with crochet thread and tiny hooks, while others (like this one) are made with thicker yarns and a bigger hook. This pattern is fairly simple, as it only uses the single crochet, single crochet increase and single crochet decrease stitches! If you need any help at all with this pattern, you can reach me at the links provided at the end of this post! I hope you love this pattern and Happy Crocheting!

Hello again friends! I'm changing things up a bit for this weeks #freepatternfriday. I got a really great deal on some Yarn Bee Cloud 9 yarn (which by the way is sooo soft). The first idea I had were for cuddly little teddy bears! I made 2 versions of them, the cuddle bear and the chubby bear (coming next Friday). It was nearly impossible to work with the Cloud 9 yarn by itself so I made it easier on myself, and you all, and decided to use a baby yarn (#3 size yarn) with it. If you've ever been intimidated by making amigurumi don't be! The only stitches used are single crochet, single crochet increase and single crochet decrease. I highly recommend using stitch markers also to help keep your place. Honestly, there was a time I was intimidated by amigurumis but I soon realized that it's not so bad (as long as I used a decent size hook and yarn, lol). I hope you enjoy this pattern and if you do please feel free to share this post with your friends!

Who's ready for the final part of the 3 part Even Berry Collection?! Part one was the Even Berry Dish Cloth pattern and part 2 was the Even Berry Hand Towel pattern. Today's pattern is part 3, the Even Berry Reusable Swiffer Sweeper Refill pattern. These 3 together add an extra little something to any bathroom and work great for cleaning (and drying)! I do suggest however, that if you have a bigger family (like mine) or more space to clean, to make more then one refill. I use mine, then grab another as needed during the mopping process. I'm sure you could probably rinse, wring and reuse but I don't have time for that! Lol! Please note that the "berries" will "pop" out on every other berry row. I haven't tried it yet, but you could probably slip stitch a row somewhere between rounds 4-6 if you would like for all the berry rows to pop out on the same side. Just remember not to slip stitch too tight. I hope you love this pattern. If you do please consider sharing this post w/your crochet friends and also join my group on Facebook (link is at the bottom of this post). Happy crocheting!

Hello everyone and welcome to the blog! For the next 3 weeks I will be sharing with you a collection I call the "Even Berry Collection!" It will consist of today's pattern, the Even Berry Dish Cloth, along with 2 more cleaning themed patterns. It's a fairly easy pattern (although I would classify it as more of an intermediate pattern). When I learned the Even Berry Stitch, I fell in love with it! I hope you do too! Honestly, I debated whether I wanted to name this collection the Even Berry Collection or something with Tulips in the name (To me, the lavender looks like flowers while the green looks like the stem). I hope you enjoy this weeks pattern! And don't forget to come back next week to see the next pattern in the collection!

This cozy is made for a standard size coffee cup. Just slip it on and voila! This pattern is a beginner friendly pattern. The only stitches used are the Half Double Crochet and the Crab Stitch (AKA reverse single crochet). Don't fret if you've never done the crab stitch before, you will just be doing the single crochet but backwards. 😊 I hope you enjoy this pattern! Hello again everyone! This weeks project is an American Flag applique! This applique can be put on everything from beanies to blankets and even onto shirts. This cutie measures in at 3x2 inches! The perfect size to be added to a beanie! If you would like a bigger size applique just simply use a bigger hook (although it may have looser stitching) or use a thicker yarn. You will love the ease of this project too! Let me know in the comments below what you will be attaching it to. I would also love to see finished photos! You can either add them as a project on ravelry, share them to my FB Page or Group (both are linked below) or use the hash tag #rachelslovelystitches on IG! I hope you enjoy making your flags as much as I loved making mine! Happy Crocheting!

Happy Friday Friends! Its that time again! Freebie Friday! This weeks free crochet pattern is the Navajo Blanket pattern. This pattern uses the treble (aka triple) crochet stitch and back and front post stitches. Its not as hard as it may sound though. The edging is a shell stitch and gives it that perfect finishing touch. I made this blanket in a light worsted weight yarn but it can also be made in a thicker (or thinner) yarn. You could also make this blanket in solid colors and make your own color changes! The finished measurements when using a light worsted weight yarn and size H crochet hook are 50x34 inches.

Did you happen to see my last pattern, the reusable Swiffer Sweeper Pad? After writing up and releasing that pattern I had the idea to make a reversible cleaning pad. Makes sense right? Why only have one that mops? Most of us sweep before mopping right? This reusable swiffer pad can be used wet (for mopping) or dry (for sweeping). *Side note- I don't suggest using it for sweeping and then immediately using it for mopping right after. The dirt collected from the sweeping side would probably make the mop water dirty. I would suggest, however, to make at least 2 of the reversible pads then you can choose which to use for sweeping and which to use for mopping.*

I consider this pattern to be an intermediate pattern due to the more advanced stitches used (the loop stitch and the bobble stitch). If you are looking for a more beginner friendly pattern, please consider checking out the reusable swiffer sweeper pad pattern. As always, I hope you like this pattern and if you do, please consider sharing this post with your crochet friends! If you happen to come across a mistake in the pattern please let me know either by commenting at the end of this post, sending me a message on ravelry, or sending a message on Facebook. Its almost a week post Easter. Anyone else still finding Easter grass laying around? We sure are! We'll probably still be finding it in the cracks of the couch come Christmas! Ha! (Five kids, need I say more? 😉) Speaking of kids and cleaning up...does anyone else use a swiffer but don't always have the refills? That happens to me, often. 🤦 Well, today I want to share with you how to crochet a reusable swiffer pad! Just toss in the wash when you're done and have it ready for the next time you need it! Now, without further ado...*insert dramatic music* 🤣 the pattern!

Hi again crochet friends! Today's FREE crochet pattern is a throwback to the '80's. We have THREE ways to make hair scrunchies! There's a smaller, beginner version. A larger, beginner version. And a larger, intermediate version. Don't be intimidated by the intermediate version though! I don't consider it a beginner pattern only because you will be working your hair elastic inside a tube that you'll be making. It's easier then it sounds, I promise!

I've made 4 scrunchies now and they definitely aren't just lying around the house! I have 4 daughters that wear them! One of them should of been born in the '80's! Lol! She loves scrunchies (she has a collection!) and high waisted jeans! Who will you be making scrunchies for?! Let me know in the comment section below (at the bottom of this page)!

Now without further ado....the patterns! I hope you all enjoy making them as much as I do!

Hello again fellow crocheters! Today I have for you, the Divided Peaks Infinity Scarf! This is the 3rd pattern in a 3 pattern series. It goes alongside the Divided Peaks Beanie and the Divided Peaks Ear Warmer. Like the beanie and ear warmer, this scarf can also be made in a color blocked fashion and would also look great in a self stripping yarn. **If color blocking, change color after rounds 3,5,6,8 and 9. The suggested self stripping yarn is Red Heart Stripes.** I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I enjoyed making it! I hope you will come back again next week to see what FREE pattern is available! Happy stitching!!

Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone! Today's pattern uses a couple different stitches. Directions for the butterfly stitch (BS) can also be found on YouTube. I also have instructions on how to do the BS below in the "special stitches" section.
I have included directions on how to do a color blocked version (pictured above) as well as a version done with self striping yarn (which can be seen at the end of this pattern/post). Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone! Today I wanted to share with you how to make a crochet clover. With Saint Patricks Day coming up, these cute little appliques can be used for so many things! These clovers can be added to scarves, baby booties or even hats (I even have a pigtail leprechaun beanie that uses them as hair ties-cutest thing ever!).

I made the clovers in 2 sizes-Medium (3.5 inches wide x 4 inches long) and small (2 inches wide x 2.75 inches long). To make a bigger clover you can use a bigger hook and/or heavier weight yarn. For a smaller shamrock you would use a smaller hook and/or lighter weight yarn. Now onto the pattern!

The idea for this beanie came about in 2015. I saw one similar to it but never found a pattern to go with. So...I came up with a pattern myself and wanted to share with you all! This beanie is like any other leprechaun hat except that its a beanie and has cute little pigtails  and clover hair ties! ☘ Please note that while the child size has been tested, the teen and adult size have not. If you make either size and find any issues please feel free to contact me.
Edited Feb. 22, 2019- I edited the sizing instructions for the teen and adult sizes. Please contact me if there are any issues. Thank you so much for your support!
I hope you love this pattern as much as I do! If you do, remember to share this post with your crocheting friends! Happy crocheting!

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week is going great and that your new year is off to a great start! The temperature in my neck of the woods has been crazy! Just the other day we were in the 50's and today its down in the 20's with a wind chill in the teens! I think those temperatures call for a new beanie and with a new beanie comes a new pattern! What's better then staying in and crocheting when it's that cold out right?! I hope y'all love the Simple Textures Beanie! Remember to share this post with anyone else that might be interested in making one.
