Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone! Today's pattern uses a couple different stitches. The first is a hdc worked into the 3rd loop (videos can be found on YouTube of how to work this stitch) and the second is the butterfly stitch. Directions for the butterfly stitch (BS) can also be found on YouTube. I also have instructions on how to do the BS below in the "special stitches" section. 

I have included directions on how to do a color blocked version (pictured above) as well as a version done with self striping yarn (which can be seen at the end of this pattern/post). You can make this hat different sizes by adding or decreasing the beginning chain count.
