Happy #freebiefriday again friends! This weeks free pattern is pattern number 2 in the Even Berry Collection. Its the Even Berry Hand Towel! This free crochet pattern perfectly compliments the Even Berry Dish Cloth pattern I shared in last weeks post! The finished size of this hand towel is approximately 16x28 inches. Be sure to check back next week to get the third, and final, pattern in the Even Berry Collection. The Even Berry Hand Towel pattern can be found below. 

Supplies Needed:

-Size 4.5 mm crochet hook

-Any size 4 cotton yarn-2 of each color (example was made with Peaches and Cream in the colorways Ecru, Forest Green and Black Current)

-Yarn Needle

-Scissors

Gauge:

3 rows x 2 BST= 1 inch

Notes:

-This pattern is wrote in US terminology.
-Ch. 1 does not count as a stitch.
-Finished measurements are approximately 16x28 inches.

Abbreviations:

Ch.: Chain

Sl. St.: Slip Stitch

Beg.: Beginning
Sc: Single Crochet
Hdc: Half Double Crochet
Dc: Double Crochet
BST: Even Berry Stitch
Trb: Treble Crochet (Triple Crochet)

St.: Stitch

YO: Yarn Over
Ea: Each

Rep: Repeat

FO: Finish Off
Sk: skip
* *: Repeat instructions in * *

Special Stitches:

Even Berry Stitch

Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through one loop, yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through all 5 loops on hook.

Pattern

Round 1: Ch 52, Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in next 49 ch. (50 Hdc) Change to purple, ch 1, turn. 

Round 2: *BST, Sl St* across. Change to white. Ch 1, turn. (25 BST, 25 Sl St)

Round 3: Hdc in ea st across. Change to green. Ch 1, turn. (50 Hdc)

Round 4: Hdc in ea st across. Change to purple. Ch 1, turn. (50 Hdc)

Round 5-61: Rep rounds 2-4, 19 times. Do no change color after round 61. Ch 1, turn. 

Round 62: Working along top, sc in ea st across, 3 sc in corner st. Working down side, sc in ea st, sc in corner st. Working along bottom, sc in ea st across, 3 sc in corner st. Working along final side, sc in ea st across, 2 sc in last corner st. Join with a sl st to first st of round. 

Congrats! Your hand towel is now complete!
