Hello again friends! I'm back today to share another FREE crochet pattern! This weeks free pattern is a mustache cup cozy. Perfect for Fathers Day! It's simple yet functional. This cozy is made for a standard size coffee cup. Just slip it on and voila! This pattern is a beginner friendly pattern. The only stitches used are the Half Double Crochet and the Crab Stitch (AKA reverse single crochet). Don't fret if you've never done the crab stitch before, you will just be doing the single crochet but backwards. 😊 I hope you enjoy this pattern! Supplies Needed:
-Size H/8-5.00 mm Crochet Hook
-Size 4.00 mm Crochet Hook
-Worsted Weight Yarn (Example was made using Red Heart Super Saver in the colors Navy and Brown [I used scraps so I'm not sure exactly what colorway the brown is].
-Yarn Needle
-Scissors
Gauge:
3 st x 2 rows=1 inch
Notes:
-This pattern is wrote in US terminology.
-Ch. 1 does not count as a stitch.
-Finished cozy measures approximately 3.5 inches high by 8 inches around.

Step 1: Insert your hook, from front to back, in the next stitch to the right.
Step 2: YO, pull through stitch. (2 loops on hook)
Step 3: YO, pull through both loops.

Round 1: Ch. 24. Join. Sc in ea st around. Join to first st. Ch 1. (24)
Round 2-6: Hdc in ea st around. Join to first st. Ch 1 (24)
Round 7: Crab st in ea st around. Join to first st. (24)
FO. Weave in ends.
Mustache
With Brown and 4.0 Hook:
Ch 23. Sl St in the 2nd ch from hook and next 3 ch. Sc, Hdc, Dc, Trb, Dc, Hdc, Sl St in next 2 ch, Hdc, Dc, Trb, Dc, Hdc, Sc, Sl St in the last 4 ch. FO leaving a long tail to sew onto cozy. Sew mustache onto cozy.
